CARMELITE HOUSE

The Carmelite House development provides 135,000 sq foot of grade A office space on the north bank of the Thames in central London.  The building was the former home to Daily Mail publishers for nearly 100 years. The site comprised two existing buildings, a modern 90's office structure and 1898 Grade II-listed building with ornate brick façade.   The works comprised full refurbishment, including façade replacement to the 90's structure and internal remodelling of the atrium and cores.  Ten 1 acted on behalf of the Developer to assist in ensuring smooth delivery of the scheme, including detailed review of the existing structures and extensive review of the history of the construction at the boundaries to identify the precise boundary location and ensure statutory obligations under the Party Wall Act were fulfilled.
